Winter Mountain Altai

Good evening ladies and gentlemen!

Going through his archive of photographs on the computer, I found a folder with my winter trip to the Altai Mountains. Such frames in the hot hot summer sometimes gladly like to see and experience the atmosphere of coolness these wonderful places.

In January last year, I was able to go a couple of days in the village Uznezya, to the recreation center "Buttermilk". At the moment, the village turns into a small resort town. Here the views of Mount Sugun-Tuu, on which a chapel at the top of the mountain, height - 752 meters above sea level. Chapel with the ground is practically invisible, had zoomed to see and make this shot. In summer you can go up and see up close.

In the morning I went to the nearby village Askat to walk through the forest and visit the blue lakes. Weather permitting, the thermometer showed -10 in all.

The lakes were quite small, one of them has an approach, for those wishing to take a dip. The amount of these Lakes (2 or 3) depends on the level of water in the river Katun. Water flows from one reservoir to another, and flows into the river. The water in the lakes is covered Ledkov only at -30 degrees C. The largest lake depth of about eight meters. The water is clear, clean and on a sunny day Amazing blue. Those wishing to dive in cold water a lot, built on the banks of a bathhouse to get warm. From the bath to the lake a staircase. By the lakes, you can walk two roads: the forest by Askat or frozen Katun (along the river path is shorter). I was walking through the forest to admire the snow-capped mountains, because earlier I had never been here in the winter.

Katun does not freeze completely whole, sometimes it is noisy and slowly moving icicles on it. The water here is very beautiful color, it is a pity that the photos can not convey the beauty and naturalness.

In some cities, the road meets not frozen small portions of Katun.

In winter it is very beautiful, the air in the mountains is fresh and clean, indescribable feeling of freedom, of peace, peace.
