Stoned Celebs on a Sunday
This Sunday we decided for a little trip (despite storm and rain to the Olympic park to walk around the stadium, the tower, swim arena and the little lake there where you can capture these "stone monuments" showing feet and hands of celebrities from music, sports and entertainment. It was indeed a Beautiful Sunday at least here.
In the past I was always wondering about the background as not even Google helped me - but finally I was successful on the website of the Olympic park hosting company to find the explanation:
This is the home of the stars - that's the message of the Munich Olympic Walk of Stars (MOWOS). Munich's Olympic Park is a place where the world's famous faces come together. And this has been documented since 2003 via a pathway on the banks of the Olympic Lake.
National and international legends from the worlds of sport, music and entertainment have left - and will continue to leave - their everlasting mark with hands and signets in the concrete and take their place on the Olympic Park's MOWOS. To be included in the Walk of Stars, the celebrities must have achieved successes in the Olympic Stadium, the Olympic Hall, the Olympic Swimming Pool or in the Olympic Ice Sports Centre, or have earned their place around the Olympic Park.

didn't know you had "celebrity stars" there like in Hollywood.
Good picks to feature, mostly the best rock bands, although there are a lot of them from that time, still Deep Purple are the highlight for me :)

Mit Nena? Cool, als was denn genau?
Meinte eigentlich von allen Musiker und Bands die du aufgezählt hast, war ich mit 34 davon auf Tour. Mir haben die Stars und Sternchen im wahrsten sinne ihr Leben anvertraut. War der Tourbus Fahrer und brachte sie sicher von A bis B. Hab eine post serie darüber: Behind the Stage, wo ich regelmäßig einige Einblicke gebe. ps.: leider Nena war da nicht dabei, aber zb.: der Ozzy, Metallica, Roger Waters mit the Wall, ........

Echt? Ich auch - und zwar bin ich damals während des Konzertes mit meiner heutigen Frau zusammengekommen, Akustik war so schlecht, da hatte man Zeit für was anderes :-).
Das ist ja klasse! Bei mir war das '96, da wollte ich mit James Hetfield zusammenkommen, hat aber leider nicht geklappt... 😂 😂
Ich stand in der ersten Reihe, von lauter headbangers halb erdrückt und der Ordner hat mich nicht aus den Augen gelassen, weil der dachte, er muss mich gleich ohnmächtig rausziehen. Aber ich hab duchgehalten!! 2kg verloren und lauter blaue Flecke, aber wenigstens hab ich James kurz die Hand geschüttelt 😁
