dankh, that is up to you. its doesn't much matter if you drop your voting power 80 or 90, or even 50. It depends how often you intend to use steemit and if you want to keep manual control of your voting power or let autosteem run it. I let mine use anything above 80% and my manual voting for example often drives me down to 60-70% if I vote a bunch when on steemit. To each the own however.
thanks, I have recruited about a dozen people to steemit and gave them a link to autosteem about 2 hours ago for review. I will be having them list me in the smart vote section, but I will also be having them recruit at least 7 people each, and so on, and so on. My thought is to have the people recruit others and list their recruiter in smart vote. Since the recruiters are copying my vote, will the people they recruit also copy my vote or will they have to add me in the smart vote?
dankh, as long as the posts you vote get followed in a chain, your curation will go up, it doesn't matter if they follow you directly or one of your followers when copying votes. But its great to have them follow your blog as a favorite as well, so they vote your content directly, which will earn author rewards, not just curation.
Cool, I will have by the end of tonight 5 new steemit and autosteem recruits, I walked the first 2 in my office today and the rest by phone. Tomorrow I will be having another 5 register to autosteem, I have already had them open steemit accounts, geographically the next 5 come from London, Chicago, Tennessee, Florida and Texas and I will be having each of them recruit no less than 7 more apiece using the rule of 6-1/2 degrees separation

the group I just presented to are guys I have been building a relationship with via Tradingview.com as we are all market traders. They are all over the place and this is new to them but we are all top-notch analyst/traders. So it is possible we can develop a following as a group for those who are interested. BTW how long does it take for autosteem to sync up? the guys I signed up yesterday do not show any copy votes for today yet. Sorry, one more question; if they close their browser, will that wipe out their settings?
Autosteem is all immediate, so votes only follow if you use copy votes and have your posting key entered correctly, when that vote is seen. It doesn't do any sync or catchup to previous votes. Best thing is for each person to make sure it votes manually, if so, then its all up to the vote filtes to autovote for you, depending on how you set them.
So the autosteem will only run when the browser is open?
