House-Sized Graffiti #4 and #5 (Matosinhos, Portugal)
I've got a couple more huge Graffiti to show you. Just found them among my photo collection.
#4
From the two, this is my favourite. It's about half of the size, but I think it's a lot cooler than #5.
And the seagull seems to like it too... can you spot it?
This work from Katre represents what used to be a typical sight in Matosinhos: abandoned factories, mostly related to the fishing industry.
After joining the EU and due to restrictions from the same EU, the fishing industry in Portugal took quite a beating. Matosinhos was severely affected by the strangling of the industry and most factories end up going bankrupt.
Without money to maintain them and no fair proposals to sell them, the owners saw no choice but to let them rot. For more than a decade, old abandoned factories were everywhere.
Nowadays, almost all of the factories have been restored, converted into other businesses, such as discos, bowling alleys, restaurants, supermarkets... some were simply brought down to be replaced by residential buildings. It's a whole new city.

#5
The next Graffiti is a couple of meters away, across the street and it is absurd in size! This residential building in Matosinhos is 10 storey high. Yes, 10!!!
This work is from MrDheo, the same artist from the previous Graffiti in this collection.
Here's a more distant shot...
Yes, that's a fish he's drinking from.

That's good to hear @trincowski although I doubt the fishermen would agree with me. 😢
I like the top one best too, Great piece of art. 😊
Things change... the fishermen's kids are not interested in carrying it on, anyway. They prefer to look for more modern jobs.
These look pretty good ! :-)
Thank you, Agnes!
Wow i just wish I have seen someone good to coach me on graffiti. I feel that i am not complete without it. Thanks so much for sharing. It has sparked up the urge in me to being a good graffiti artist

You already have the art skills. Now you just need to learn the technique.
