Belgarve Music Hall Canteen

Belgrave music hall canteen is one of my favourite bars in Leeds. It has the three essentials:

Reasonably priced pints
Value for money food
Relaxing chilled/hip atmosphere

Combine all three of these factors with a good group of mates and you could easily substitute an expensive night out in a club for a relaxing chilled one with the boys in the Belgrave Music Hall Canteen.

The atmosphere is the most appealing factor for me and is my focus. Walking down Headingly lane and the pubs on the Otley run have signs saying 'great atmosphere,' well comparing a normal pub to Belgrave; this is a whole new level.

The DJ's play a genre I like to call 'Trap Jazz' and mix vinyls of all years to make super hip beats which create Belgrave's unique environment. Artists like GoldLink & Rejjie Snow are mixed with old skool tunes giving a unique sound and atmosphere to Belgrave.

Dim mood setting lights and an assortment of comfy chairs makes Belgrave the coolest chilled place in Leeds. The bottom level of Belgrave with the downstairs dedicated to great food (REVIEW TO COME), and a chilled hip atmosphere.

The top level where there is a calm outdoor rooftop with heaters and only what I could describe as a jungle/tropical atmosphere with heaters and plant life.

I will be doing further reviews on Belgrave as there is so much too the place and one of my favourite go to places as a student in Leeds.
