Day 1 - Manchester to Osaka

Getting to the Airport

I set off from home just before 06:00 and got 2 trams to Manchester Airport. The 08:50 flight was from Manchester to Frankfurt. Check-in and security checks were straight-forward.

First Stop

At Frankfurt I went straight to the departure gate and waited for the 13:30 flight to Osaka. My luggage was automatically transferred and no additional security checks were required.

Long-Haul Flight

On this 11 hour flight I spent my time watching movies. The food and drink provided was good and the service was excellent. The seats on the plane were relatively comfortable although I didn’t manage to get any sleep. Before arriving, passengers were given a couple of immigration forms to complete.
