A nice Vienna afternoon get-together with artist friend Sabina Nore

Taking advantage of possibly the last really nice day before the forecast of cooler and rainy weather for the next two weeks, I spent a pleasurable time with my artist friend Sabina Nore - a.k.a @anibas on Steemit (she has not posted here for a long time though).

Sabina does not live in Vienna, but came to the city to meet some family and also catch up with me (something we planned and promised each other long ago).

On Facebook she posted about her camera was broken, and when she eventually decided to dismantle it, she says miraculously it started working again. So she proposed to combine a photo portrait session with our outing, since she is starting a portfolio of portraits. She took tons of pictures of me - and I have yet to see how they turned out (promised to send them).
But I had my camera with me as well, so here "I shot the shooter":

We initially met at the Cafe Alt Wien downtown Vienna, Bäckerstraße 9, a quaint place, old fashioned "Wiener Kaffeehaus" like there are fewer and fewer of them around. We enjoyed our coffee and Topfenstrudel (Cream cheese strudel) and filled each other in on what happened with us (since last we met), with some of the conversation reaching back to almost Adam and Eve, lol - so much to talk about!

We then walked down to nearby Schwedenplatz and from there descended to the promenade along the Danube Canal.

Not long ago I had been in that area on a "photo safari" to take images of the graffiti along the canal, the photos of which you can see here in my Flickr album:

At that time I also discovered the Strandbar Herrmann, so I suggested we go there to relax, have some excellent Chicken Burgers and a few drinks.

It was Sabina's first time there and she really enjoyed the atmosphere - like being on a "holiday", she said. She shot, like mentioned above, a ton of portraits of me, and I retaliated with a few of mine:

All in all, it was great meeting her again - and I am looking forward to see what she comes up with for photos of me. On some of the pictures she is wearing sunglasses and she said: "they always work out better for me" - to which I replied: "in that case, I would need to wear a paper bag over my head, lol".
