Very normal here in North Florida. LOL! It just doesn't last all winter. We have had colder winters than this since we moved here 22 years ago - one winter where we had below freezing temperatures overnight for days. I've twice seen snow flurries, but back in 1989 a few years before we came here, they had a white Christmas. http://jacksonville.com/slideshow/2015-12-16/look-back-freak-snowstorm-december-1989#slide-1

Oic!!! I always thought Florida being the sun shine state would always be tropical. That is interesting!

It's a common myth. Lol! We have deciduous trees here in north Florida that lose all their leaves in the winter. I actually enjoy experiencing the four seasons, but in the extreme south of Florida, that would not be!

@thekitchenfairy we get a winter that last about a week the first of the year. Our leaves also start to fall in January and not in the fall. It is supposed to be back in the 70's early to mid week. Where @dmcamera is at is north florida. South florida rarely sees cold but this year they did!
