It is worth is to at least get them backed up to digital. They say family information always skips a generation. As a kid you dont always ask about your parents history but you are usually interested in your grandparents. Your parents have the same issue. So when you ask them, it may be too late. And when your kids ask about your parents, you may not know as much as you wish you did!

I did scan and save a ton of family photos onto a portable hard drive years ago but lost it on a move
