I do love visiting the First Street Green Art Park a few times each year as the art is always changing, these shots are from a visit a couple of months ago.
This first one shows a couple of pieces the main one under the First Street Green sign is a colorful perhaps strange piece but it did give me a smile when I saw it

First Street Green Art Park provides murals, sculpture, and ongoing cultural activity by engaging with artists, architects, community and cultural groups through a series of programs that activate this public space in the Lower East Side, NYC.
The cool thing about this park is the murals can be such a variety of styles from more artistic to tagging style like this one, the message Is it Friday yet is something I can relate to these days, I never really used to get that feeling but as I have been approaching retirement I kind of feel myself thinking that more these days LOL

Yes, I know that there's a lot of art in Noew York City, and you show or better said you present much of this art in your posts.
I like this tagging above with the "friday..." saying, but as you say, when they just paint or spray their names on walls I call it a damage and not art.

These are really fun! I have to admit, those 3D eyepoppers are really a wow for me and of course, the last whimsical one is so cute.
You really have culled the best of the best when you do your walkabouts every day. I don't think you realize how lucky you are to have all this beauty (although it is in the eyes of the beholder!) surrounding you on a daily basis.
You really do take advantage of it and I am so happy to see that!

Thanks and yes I know how lucky i am, and it is something in my mind at the moment with a limited amount of time left working in NYC, so on days when I am not to busy and ts not to dang cold I will Try and get out for photos while still here
