What is my culture? 4 (Set "The radars can’t see us")

Good night to all!

All the urban areas on the planet are ruled by hip hop, it’s like that! Go to any urban area, the area of the moment, what makes that area look like an area, what people hear, what people trust each other with, is hip hop. It doesn’t matter race, ethnicity, age, class, it doesn’t matter.

Hindus have a caste system and all castes are in hip hop. Pakistan, Hip Hop, Muslim, Hip Hop, Christian, Hip Hop, Jews, Hip Hop.

There is a group called DAM that has an Israeli DJ and a Palestinian MC, their countries hate them, do not let them leave the country. To record, they have to manage to send the recordings.

This is what hip hop is doing in an area where adults are not able to understand each other. Adults are there all the time: "Israelis don’t want peace" "Palestinians don’t want peace". In the meantime, the children have gotten together and already solved it. It’s called Hip Hop and that’s what we do: "Ziggi ziggi ziggi Ziggi" "My Men is on the plates". That’s it, we’ve already reconciled. In every urban environment on Earth, what people trust is hip hop.

And they’re gonna keep doing it. I have just been talking about how the European Union has been collapsing: "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the collapse of the entire European Union". Same as the American dollar, gone! But as we keep walking around knowing the past, people are still in power, the only reason those people are still in power is because we don’t believe them!

Have you ever wondered, how does a single person manage to send an entire army into battle? How come a guy sitting at his desk says, "We’re going to war"? That guy never goes to war. He’s never the first to ride the horse. "Let’s Go to War". Who goes to war? Hip Hop.

That’s what goes to war. Look at any army, that of the United States, the European Union, anyone… In all of them there are young people listening to Hip Hop. In tents, Hip Hop, in planes, Hip Hop. And what happens? They take our minds away. None of them want to go to war. If you ask any soldier from Iraq or any other country, why are you here? No one will answer: "I just want to kill you. No one will say that. They’ll say, It’s just that I want to go to college, send some money to my kids, I thought I could learn things here". And suddenly they find themselves on a mountain with a gun. Those soldiers are trapped, they signed the wrong contract and now they’re there. That is the truth!

But we do not receive the truth, because we are afraid of the truth. Because to see the truth you have to be your true self. You cannot see the truth unless you are true. But if you are not going to be real with yourself then seeing the truth will be impossible. You have to be the truth to see the truth.
