Blue Springs - New Zealand UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL

Hi everyone and welcome to Blue Springs. This was an exceptional adventure of true fairytale proportions!

The water of this spring is fed from the Mamaku Plateau and requires a hundred years to filter through. The water is so pure and so clean that it naturally reflects more blue light. The flowing water from the spring moves at around 42 cubic metres per minute which is something equivalent to filling a 6 lane, 25 m swimming pool in about 12 minutes. Pretty impressive! The water stays at 11 degrees all year round.

I have to say, walking along the Te Waihou Walkway rates as one of the most magical experiences of my life and so I would completely recommend you do this at some point if you can! I feel extremely blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity.

The photos speak so much more than I could put into words adequately as you can see.

There are small waterfalls along the way and once or twice in the clear clear water I caught a glimpse of trout - what lucky fish to live in this pristine water. There must have been a time long ago on this planet where much more river water looked this good.

Even if it is simply picking up rubbish if you see it in your street. Starting at home where you live is the perfect place to set a good example to others and forge new, better habits of a more responsible nature to our environment.
