Tell Me About Were You Live Contest: My Entry
Living in a small town in the north of Italy may not seem so exciting but on balance I love my city and that's why I want to talk to you briefly in this post.
My city is called Bergamo and is located about 40 kilometers from the most famous Milan.
Many travelers say they know my city as there is an important international airport which is actually about 15 minutes from where I live. As an addicted traveler as me this is definitely a huge fortune.
Bergamo is famous above all for its oldest part, known as the Upper Town.
It is a beautiful medieval city surrounded by walls erected in the Venetian era and placed on a hill overlooking the rest of the city.
From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view, especially at sunset.
I took these pictures at this time of day, the sun going down over the horizon giving the sky a fiery red color that makes these shots very suggestive.
From 09 July 2017, the Venetian Walls of Bergamo have become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making us citizens of Bergamo even more proud of our city.
