Walk Through The Boneyard - A Photo Tour
I hope you're up to date on your tetanus booster. Watch your step. Sometimes they bite.
This is one of my favorite places - the boneyard at the @airkooledkustoms shop. Here, nature finds a way to embrace, briefly enhance, and then consume what is left behind of metal dreams.
Yes, everything is dirty and dingy and dusty... ragged and rotten and rusty.
But it's more than that.
Here lie vintage steel hulks that were once someone's pride and joy.
They were polished and washed, oil changed and engines tuned.
Heavy metal witnesses to people's lives.
First drives, first dates, getaway cars after weddings...
Forgotten heirlooms, now tucked into a grove of trees.
The occasional volunteer, offering up its salvageable parts to be made new and grafted into a new dream ride.
Patina. It's the beauty you earn.

"Patina. It's the beauty you earn" Great quote and nice series!
Thank you - I appreciate your support.
My car is my baby - well one of them anyway. I find these pics beautiful yet sad. Abandoned souls. I bet they have a few stories to tell.
Best @Booky :)
They sure do - and sometimes they tell those stories.
@steemitpatina, nice shot for such a subject.
I suggest that you only use the steemitphotochallenge tag if your pics pass their weekly category. Yes there is such a thing - perhaps you could join one day but you should read the category they have for that week - this week is about architecture, surely this fits more for - engineering.

Thank you!! That's VERY helpful!
@steemitpatina you're welcome!
I love the contrast between the machinery and metal is captivating! I love how you gave each part individual attention. Beautiful work!
