Drifting is a way to let off some steam, at least for me it is. Especially when you are doing it in a rear-wheel drive car, the feeling is absolutely sensation. Although, It's not that easy to do that in a front wheel drive car. But if you are able to, then the feeling of over coming that hurdle of a front wheel drive car is something else.

Its just a thing of beauty to watch a car go sideways and even better when you are the one doing it.

For those who do not know what drifting is, it's basically kicking the tail of your car out while making a turn. Like you see in the image above. I said it's a hurdle in a front wheel drive car is because the front wheels are the ones which get the power from the engine and make the car move and these wheels are also the ones steering the car. So they have to manage both the power and the direction which is a tricky bit if it's a performance car. And because the power is going to the front wheels the back wheels are basically free and gets no power to the, hence they aren't directly in our control. So while to push the tail out is easy, it's not easy to maintain that, as in maintain the drift. If you manage to maintain the drift then you are one of the pro drivers for sure.

On the other hand, in a rear wheel drive car the power goes to the rear wheels obviously as the name suggests and all they have to do is put the power down on the ground and that's it. The front wheels will take care of the direction and the back wheels will control the amount of power you need to control the drift. And that's why rear wheel drives cars are so much fun.
