Popular tourist destination in central Taiwan

Last week we had a 4-day holiday long weekend due to the Chinese holiday, the annual Dragon Boat Festival. I took the opportunity to drive to Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, located in central Taiwan. I can't recall the last time I was there, so this trip is my first time there with a decent camera!

Here are some photos from my day at Sun Moon Lake and the surrounding areas.

Towards the late afternoon, we finally got some decent weather patterns, as the clouds began to break up revealing the sky and the sun. Here's a rock sign of Sun Moon Lake in Chinese characters, I had to wait until some tourists had their turn with the sign.
