When first entering the area it’s a little unreal how much effort that has gone into retaining the personality of the historic era. It is like stepping into a movie that time warps you into the past to witness the way of life at that specific time. There was so much to see here and the attractions are well spread throughout. There were various buildings setup for photography, food, clothing and even entertainment. This was really a glimpse at life in the golden age of Victoria.

I had a chance to ride on the Mine tram that was opened around a decade ago. This was an interesting addition that I did not expect. It helps visitors visit the different sites around Sovereign Hill and even enters the mines with dark areas that shows off the type of environments that people would have had to endure when searching for their precious materials. It was a day well spent and I highly recommend a visit if nearby. There is much to see and experience with even theatrical performances happening throughout the day.
