Ribs for house warming cooking party.
My favourite two meat dishes for larger parties are pork ribs, and marinated spicy chicken drumsticks and chicken breast. I find that the larger part of time spent at cooking is preparing the food. This was one of the reasons why I cooked so little during my professional career. Picking out the ingredients, cooking, and then cleaning up was always too time consuming.
What you compromise on is of course a transferable survival skill, but not only that, a skill which will reward you with delicious foods for the rest of your life.
Like with any reasonable diet, vegetables and fruits should be a large component of your daily intake to ensure a balanced diet consisting of a bit of everything.
Once the meat is sufficiently marinated, we put it into the oven for about 1 hour and wait. Start checking the meat around 45 minutes by prodding it and seeing if it is a cooked texture, or still soft inside.
Add some vegetables, cured meats, and stir fries and we have a complete course for everybody. As you can see, cooking does not need to take a lot of time, nor a lot of effort, as long as you have a good idea of what you intend to make and have some familiarity over the procedure, it can be a lot of fun!
Cheers to everybody to attended and thanks for a wonderful evening. Wine and cocktails to celebrate a successful cooking house warming, and another cooking challenge completed.
