In this case I was aiming for a minimalistic approach to the arrangement with plenty of greenery, hints of colour. It leans towards an exotic source of refreshment and balance.

Choosing the right flowers and plants is only part of the design process. The tools used in arranging matter if certain things need to be tailored such as rogue leaf or removal or dirt. Arrangements are showpieces and should be kept tidy and healthy. To keep things healthy for as long as possible the appropriate nutrient needs to be provided. A supply of plant food and a suitable vase needs to be selected. This can also allow for some creativity as the holding container can for part of the arrangement. I will always make sure to hydrate my plants to ensure everything is in order. A drooping plant is a sad sight to behold and should be cared for accordingly. With all things in place, it’s a matter of constructing a stable and satisfying piece that is aesthetic from all angles. If it is to be showcased in the centre of a room this becomes slightly harder as there are more angles to work with. If against a wall then the design has less dimensions to focus on.
