365 Photography - Day 18


The last photo I can post about my biking trip. While cycling up and down mountains I kept asking myself. Why don't they just make a tunnel for bikes? Kept answering myself that it would be too darn expensive. Guess it was not too expensive for Seoul.

I was in shock when I saw it, cycling through one of these was total bliss. It's cool, calm, quiet and delivers a really cool echo. If you have ever been down in a mine, it's the same effect, but cooler and faster.

Took this picture while cycling to get the right effect.

    Thanks @scrooger Your post reminded me that I used to do a training run in Glasgow where I would go through the cyclist and pedestrian tunnel. It seems much more dilapidated now but here is a video about it.

                I have always loved tunnels. This picture is a perfect grab of like the idea of a tunnel. It's not static, you're traveling through it.

                Granted my love of tunnels tends to be with the lights on... if they went off, I'd probably love them a lot less.

                  That is so.cool! One of our nearby bike tails goes through old tain tunnels...but they are dark, damp and unlit, and to avoid collisions you are asked to walk your bike through the tunnels. They need to do this!

                        There were about 5 in total, the longest being around 500m... Not that long, but a nice little cooldown once inside. =)
