Hidden

Old hotels and building always have some hidden little paths or areas all around their grounds, places that have been forgotten over time because of renovations or changing entrances and exits.

I find a little quite spot tucked away at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, down a path and around a couple of corners and I was in a little courtyard that had a small set of stairs going back out to the main ground. I sat there for a while just enjoying the quite looking at the view and the textures of the old stones that were used to build the grand old hotel. I was nice to see the cars going by and the tourists wandering passed but I was almost hidden in a quiet spot just watching the world go by.

Peaceful.

The clouds were rolling in and the lights behind the trees contrasted the clouds like stars in a night sky.

Sometimes its nice to just relax and enjoy the moment.
