Ireland - Burren (Photo tour)

The journey into the past of Irish culture led us on the way to Galway in the west of Ireland to the Burren (stony place), a karst landscape in the country Clare. Past endless, gravelly pastures separated by stone fences, along the adventurous, winding country road, we go always farther west.

Die Reise in die Vergangenheit der irischen Kultur führte uns auf dem Weg nach Galway im Westen Irlands in den Burren (steiniger Ort), eine Karstlandschaft im Country Clare. Vorbei an endlosen, fein säuberlich durch Steinzäune abgetrennte Weiden, entlang der abenteuerlichen kurvenreichen Landstraße, geht es immer weiter Richtung Westen.

Finally the sea emerges and the exploration can begin. I let nature speak for itself, as each step reveals new works of art that were formed in millennia.

Endlich taucht das Meer auf und die Erkundung kann beginnen. Ich lasse die Natur für sich sprechen, da sich bei jedem Schritt neue Kunstwerke offenbaren die in Jahrtausenden geformt wurden.

The next stage will lead us to some of the 500 archaeological sites, the most famous of which we have already visited.

Die nächste Etappe wird uns zu einigen der 500 archäologischen Anlagen führen, die bekannteste haben wir ja schon besucht.
