Day 6 of 365 in a Newborn Baby's Life - Profile and 1st Smile

This is a new photo series dedicated to the first year of my daughter's life: '365 Days of Zoe.'

Day 6 of 365:

First, for the creative picture today. I wanted a profile picture of her. I took this one overexposed using the window just behind her. I had the lens wide open at to give just a sliver of detail across her eye.

Here it is. At her week/age the 'book' says that she should be giving real smiles. We just started noticing it over the weekend. You are literally seeing maybe her 12th smile ever. I think it is amazing to be able to capture one of the first real expressions of happiness in someone's life.
