A trip to Spiddal, Co. Galway, Ireland

Today during slightly harsh conditions we decided to take a trip further up the West coast of Ireland to the small fishing village of Spiddal where the river Abhainn Bhoth Loiscthe flows into Galway bay.

Great post and a beautiful country :)

Only starting to explore the country now, it really is beautiful.

Love the photo with the boats. The rocks in the river appear to be a brown colour. Is this what is making the water appear brownish in the photo? The third photo it would appear that the ocean has a brownish foam...

Sandstone I believe is the rock native to the region
