Lake Żywieckie

is just a dozen kilometers from my home town of Szczyrk.
On warm summer days we go there many times to relax by the water.
Last year we found a new charming bay, which is quite easy to get to. This year, we decided to visit the lake for the first time in spring, and see how this bay looks like in the spring, in young green nature.

A narrow path leads us to the shores of the lake. Blooming trees and shrubs will soon effectively cover beautiful views of the lake, but now we can still enjoy the magnificent views.

After a dozen or so minutes we reach a fragment of the exposed rocky beach. Last time we were here the water level in the lake was much higher, and the beach was covered with water.
In the distance you can see the massif of the Pilsko mountain, still heavily covered with snow.

It is enough, however, to turn your head to the right to see Skrzyczne - the mountain under which I live.

Nature does beautiful things.
Falling water in the lake perfectly folded these two elements of nature.

Going further, we came across an abandoned building right on the shore. I suspect that over time the shore has come so close that the building had to be abandoned for the safety of its residents.

We pass an abandoned building and after a few steps we reach the charming bay.

You can see how the water color changes from blue to green on the left. On the right you can see the remains of the infrastructure. I suspect that the abandoned building was a holiday resort, and here it had its own bay and own jetty for sailing boats.

On the nearby hill we spent a long time staring at the waters of the bay. at the same time we were basking in the first rays of the spring sun.

Everything that is good ends quickly - it's time to come back.
