A peep window…
It appears I never posted to this group before so, to make @melinda010100 happy, I took this shot…
We have a “red light district” in Antwerp and living in that neighbourhood is not always easy… A lot of tourist are walking around there and have the tendency to look through all windows they see when they think it is a, well, you know, a pleasure-for-money place…😉
This art shop found a fantastic way to make sure everybody at least try to look inside… I observed the scene for a while and yes, at least 80% of the people passing by are taking a look…
Stay tuned to see the next windows I’ll post in #distinctivewindows…
Please, don't forget to resteem if you like this door and/or post your own windows if you’re a windows-freak 😉
PS: talking about architecture of course, not operating systems 😉
Curious to see my other work?
Happy to hear that 😊
The best thing you can do is checking out my profile here on steemit ( @pixelfan ) and follow me. I’m always happy to connect with other photographers! (And of course I’m always very happy with a little upvote… although a large one is allowed too 😊)
But of course you can find me on other social media too... just check out:

Ok guys, I understand… there are obviously a lot less upvotes as usual. I suppose most didn’t want to vote for such a controversial subject… But I swear it’s not a peepshow!
To those that did upvote… Thanks!!! And see you soon in the peepshow 😊
And I'm actually such a prude. I dunno what to tell ya
😂😂😂
Congratz, you just have been resteemed by @pixresteemer!
(All right but who is pixresteemer?)
What an amusing contrast ... you tell me which district ... and you may as well have been taking a family portrait in the window also!!
haha, thanks. And yes, I told you that there are many tourists overtheren even with kids.
I tried before to take some shots of the "red windows"... but as soon as they notice your camera, they're gone 😄 But I'll continue to try, have to find a way to be more discrete...
I once read a street photographer who described learning how to walk about with his camera attached to a neck strap and shooting without lifting the camera. It took practice to get the length of the strap and the angle right. He claimed it soon became second nature and that the angles gave his photos an extra edge. I had to agree about the angles and edge.
I would imagine the principle of holding any camera in a way that looks like you're not paying attention to it, would give a little more chance of getting the photo.
I tried that before... and took beautifull pictures of my feet and pavement 😂
But you're right... I'm considering buying myself an infrared remote to be able to take the shot without having to touch the camera... Otherwise people still see you're taking a picture, even with the camera on a neck strap... especially those kind of camera-shy people...
I think this remote thing is a brilliant idea ! Oh and yes I'm sure I'd get fab shots of my knees or arm ! Sky? did you get any sky shots? what about those eaves? some of them can be quite fascinating.
hmmm, have to look that up, good idea! Thanks for boosting my inspiration 😄👍
I think you should apply to the Minnows Accelerator Project
Very Serious!
I did, nr 11 I believe... but to be honest, I didn't see any change. I even didn't see the results of who won that round... a bit vague to me... but again, must be me 😉
If you were chosen as one of the top 6 ... you should join the discord group ... actually that's the biggest win of being in MAP
yes, I think I finally should start using discord... I have an account, but never used it. To be honest... I don't understand a sh*t of it 😂
Yeah it took me a few months of observation before I jumped in. The MAP group is still the only one I talk in. There's quite a bit of helping going on between the members and we're going to do some collaboration projects/ contests. I think the first starts like tomorrow, Monday. Plus, we're having quite a bit of fun helping @accelerator hunt down minnow talent. Which is actually rather difficult ... shockingly so.
Oh! Our first ever peep show window!! Ha! Thanks so much for posting it to the group. Upped and steemed.
Thanks Melinda 👍
