ROAD TRIP 2017 - ROUTE 66 - (1) CHICAGO

From march 11 to 28 this year, I've been getting my kicks on Route 66!
The goal was to transfer a brand new RV from Middlebury to San Francisco. So, a friend and I did the job. The adventure started in Chicago, where our Lufthansa Boeing 747-8 landed march 11th, 01:10 pm. Our trip began with 2 days sightseeing in Chicago, which is an very interesting and beautiful city. We had great weather conditions, nevertheless it was pretty cold with temperatures below 32 F. The most impressive thing to me was the nightly view from John Hancock Center.
It was also very interesting that they already celebrated St. Patrick's day and the Chicago River was all green for that event.

Vom 11. bis 28. März dieses Jahres, erhielt ich meine Kicks auf Route 66!
Ziel war es, ein brandneues Wohnmobil von Middelbury nach San Francisco zu bringen. Zusammen mit einem Freund erledigte ich den Job. Das Abenteuer began in Chicago, wo unsere Lufthansa Boeing 747-8 am 11. März um 13:10 landete. Unser Reise begann mit 2 Tagen Sightseeing in Chicago, welches eine sehr interessante und schöne Stadt ist. Wir hatten eine sehr gute Wetterlage, wenngleich es ziemlich kalt war mit Temperaturen unter 0 Grad Celsius. Das beeindruckendste für mich war die nächtliche Aussicht vom John Hancock Center.
Interessant war allerdings auch, dass man gerade St. Patrick's day feierte und der Chicago River zu dem Anlass ganz in grün aufgetreten ist.
