Hatta Heritage Village

Let me introduce you to more historical part of the United Arab Emirates. Hatta Heritage Village is a reconstruction of a traditional mountain village in the emirate of Dubai, UAE. It gives you a good idea of life in that region.

There are two guard towers, one in the North and one in the South.

The area where people would come together, rest or drink coffee.

Houses are built using the palm tree trunks.

Music has always played a big role in the culture of people here although instruments were much simpler once than nowadays. This is a very simple version of guitar made from wood, animal tissue (not sure if it's skin, bladder or something else) and some wire. If you take a closer look on the photo you can see two men playing the drums while two of them are simply using a flip flop and a sword. Creative combination, don't you think?

And it has a really nice entrance.

If you missed my previous post about the Hatta lake that is close by, you can find it here, you'll be surprised what you can find in the United Arab Emirates.

Wow it Looks Really like a magical place ! I wouldn't mind getting myself a coffee pot like that it looks really cool :)

Your photos are very nice. Hatta village looks like an awesome place.

Nice photos, the village looks really interesting. And is this coffee pot really huge or does it only seem like it? :D

It's bigger than what we are used to. I guess 1-2 liters. Their coffee has a milder taste than the western one and they drink a lot of it.

As you mentioned "Houses are built using the palm tree trunks. Its amazing news. I also visited hatta.
