Sadhus
they are sādhu those who renounce society to devote themselves to the goal of all life, according to Hinduism, which is moksha, the liberation of illusion (māyā), the cessation of the cycle of rebirths and the dissolution in the divine, fusion with the cosmic consciousness. As renunciators, they cut off all ties with their family, possess nothing or little, dress in a longhi, a tunic, saffron color for Shaivites, yellow or white for the Vishnuites, symbolizing the sanctity, and sometimes of some collars. They have no roof and spend their lives traveling on the roads of India and Nepal, feeding on gifts, sometimes sympathetic sometimes aggressive but always a source of reflection and inspiration. Sometimes hides false sadhus, actually to escape justice some thieves or criminals disguises themselves as sadhus.
