Bringing light and happiness to little orphans in South AfricasteemCreated with Sketch.

Recent research claims that South Africa has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world! It is stated that a 13 year high was reached in the unemployment figures. The unemployment situation also makes it very difficult for charities to survive, as it is the first place where companies cut to save expenses.

Yes indeed, the life of a little orphan is certainly bleak in our country and there are so many! But of course there are smaller Non-Profits that try to make their lives' a little easier, such as in this party outing where Papillon organized 4 buses to bring and return 150 orphans from a large township!

Children from 1 year to 15 years were welcomed and many sports and dancing activities were prepared for them. Of course food, sweets and cool drinks were also in abundance! But it was the gifts that included clothing, shoes, toiletries, educational stationary kits and toys that were the biggest draw card!

Each child were made to feel very special and Papillon was assisted by a large group of volunteers to spread love and happiness amongst the children

They are facing very tough lives' but we are planting the seeds of acceptance and love amongst them. But again, due to a lack of financial support we can only do so much. It is a struggle for a Non Profit to survive in South Africa, especially without government support. But by grace we have managed, only just, and with a lot of sacrifice over the past 16 years.

This is not a plea for money, or for anyone feeling sorry for us, but rather to show you what can be done with very little.
We continue to pray and the doors continue to be opened unto us in our work with the poor.
To uplift and empower others is our and your purpose in life!
Think about it!
