Beetles, Bugs and Dragonflies!

The size of a small bird! I have no idea what it is, but the tree was covered in them!

Like I said, they are big!

I am posting the pictures in the same order that I took them on my camera!

This guy looks like one of the Longhorn species!

The fruit are starting to show in the orchards here in the apple valley and we are told that many more species of insects will start to appear. Hopefully I will show you many others during the fruit's growing and ripening process. Spring babies are also all over the place and even the fish in the dams looks like waves in the water as they swim around in baby schools. New life and greenery everywhere that the eye can see.
A fresh new start in nature!

Thank you Lady Sheryl and I am glad that you liked the post! Blessings!

What so beautiful and such cool details

This place is certainly any photographer's dream JJ and the privacy is ideal to allow one's mind to roam anywhere and everywhere! Blessings!

It sure appears that way :)

Great photos, @papilloncharity. That beetle does indeed look like a longhorn - from memory (likely faulty), it doesn't look like any of the 52 sub-species I looked at when I was trying to track down my little critter, a kind of Ceroplesis, a couple of weeks ago. Mostly I don't recall that many wing stripes, but perhaps it was because I was so focused on finding my little guy. Anyway, if you're curious, Wikipedia has an extensive library of photographs to help you figure out what he is, starting out from the premise it might be a Ceroplesis/longhorn/tree borer.

And those pics of the enormo-bees (or whatever they are) and dragonflies are terrific.

Thank you Lady and it seems that you also enjoy the little critters and the beauty of mother nature. Thank you also for the tip about the Wikipedia site and I will definitely have a look at it. My mom used to say that I was born curious! Blessings!

Love your love for the critters great and small, @papilloncharity! Sounds like your mom could
discern matters of the human heart 😊

You are certainly a very kind person. Thank you!

First two photo's appear to be one of the many bee species we have, Giant carpenter bee xylocopa flavorufa is the name if you are interested in reading up more about this one.

Nice photography enabling one to find out more Stephen, wonders of life in nature.

Thank you Lady Joan and I also got some shots of yet another specie of the flying bugs today. Oh, and a baby Robin and a beautiful blue Dragonfly. All on our road trip today. Blessings!

My Mom always said Feast Your Eyes when outdoors, always something to see.

Great and wonderfully true advice! When one expects miracles they will appear.

Beautiful photographs @papilloncharity!! 🎉🎉🎉

Thank you and all of the best with your sketching my friend! Blessings!
