Why swim when you can walk?
This post is specially for those who like to swim in open water.
What you see in the photo is a raft spider (Dolomedes fimbriatus), gerande oeverspin in Dutch. I found this one, or it found me, in the Aamsveen, a peat bog in the east of The Netherlands.
Its body can be up to 22 mm (0.87") long, with a leg span of about 70 mm (2.8").
It can walk (and run) on water and also submerge:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/125s
No problem at all if you like spiders, of course.
Did you take this photo? This is a wonderful capture!
Yes, and thank you.
This is such a cool photo :) Great Shot :)
Thank you! Not a spider hater then, are you?
I don't hate them , but I don't want to hold them or have them on me, LOL. I think a lot of them are cool looking :)
Great :-)
Great photo!
Thank you!
the graphic looks like spider and gum. not spider and water😆😆
Very good job and luck in getting this shot.Love the circles the feet cause in the water.

Прям по коже мурашки пробежали. С меня, хоть и маленький, но апвойт.

No, they are harmless :)
Unless you are a bug, of course 8-).
