Well Spotted ...
... even if I say so myself.
To be honest, my GF spotted this one a few days ago, but let's not dwell on who spotted what, and play Name That Dragonfly.
Here we go: it's a female downy emerald (Cordulia aenea), smaragdlibel in Dutch:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f8, 1/320s
A few (older) photos of males of this species against a background that doesn't hide them:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 265mm, ISO200, f8, 1/160s

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO125, f8, 1/160s

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f8, 1/125s
All these are young ones; adults have bright green eyes, which seems to scare some humans.
Pretty little beasties, no? Thanks for watching!
Oh in the first picture I did not even notice it
What?? You're a fine artist with a keen eye, you of all people should see it at a glance. Not enough coffee? 8-)
Yea I guess hah,up from 5am
Can't be healthy.

Nice pics ♥
wow, fabulous @ocrdu thanks for sharing
There are a lot of dragonflies in our area.
Interesting how much they blend into the background... natural camouflage is amazing! Superb photos, too... not easy to get close enough to a dragonfly while it is sitting still.
Some photos were taken at 42mm, that's really close in. The trick is to move very slowly, like T'ai Chi in slow-motion, when you approach.
Here's the reddest we have here, to match your name:
Wow yeah thats a really good spot!
