The sun is out, I'm off looking for tree frogs
No gray skies this morning, the sun is out! I'm off to the peat bog to see if the sleepy heads are there yet. It's a bit early in the season, but it has happened before:

These European tree frogs (Hyla arborea) like to sleep in the sun in blackberry bushes, and it seems they can sleep in any position:
Olympus XZ-1, 112mm, ISO200, f8, 1/125s
They slowly climb up to find a good place to sleep:

Once in position, nothing will wake them up them except shade, it annoys them:
They will then walk off to find a better place to sleep:
This one has found a better place, and is preparing to jump on top of it:
And then, all you can do is put down your camera and take a photo with your telephone:
Thanks for watching and have a nice day, I'm off!
Edit: No frogs seen just now , but the sun is still out, that's something. Time for some lunch.

Brilliant photos. Really love the lens-sitter. Amazing what that small camera will do as well. I have the Panasonic Lumix, similar type pocket camera, (Unless that is a 12lb frog), but there are definitely clarity issues in comparison. Maybe it's the button pusher ( : Thanks for sharing. Also, there are notes in the inbox for you as well.
A real poser :D very nice shots!
Thanks!
You worked for good reason! Excellent bright photos!
Thank you.
Looks like such a cool little frog :)
They are, and once you've spotted one, they're a photographer's dream as they don't flee and just sleep or sit still being cute. The one that jumped on my lens as I was checking some settings was a bit of a pain, though, a good laugh, but it left a sticky goo on the lens ...
