The little blue ones are back!

My GF had spotted these earlier this week for the first time this year, so we went out to take some photos.

This species is called common blue (Polyommatus icarus), icarusblauwtje in Dutch. The one in the photo is a male:

That last photo surprised us a bit; they are usually more brown, with orange along the top edge of their wings, like you see in this (older) photo (the top one is the male):

No idea why he was so pale; maybe he was already worn out.
