Moths: Ruby Tiger
This fluffy red one is a ruby tiger (Phragmatobia fuliginosa), kleine beer in Dutch. It has a wing span of 35 to 45 mm (1.4 to 1.8").
It is present in most of Europe, in North Africa, Russia, Central Asia, Tibet, and in northern areas of North America. In The Netherlands, they fly from May to August.

Olympus XZ-1, 28mm, ISO100, f5.6, 1/80s
These don't usually flee when you approach them, and they like to sit still in the sun deep down in the grass, so I tried a wide-angle shot at 28mm, and it worked, with the added benefit of being able to push the grass aside with the lens.
Thanks for watching!
Previous in series: Birch Mocha.
Ein wirklich toller Falter, den ich vergangenes Jahr sehr oft am Licht hatte. Auch die Raupen kann ich fast immer zahlreich finden.
Deine Aufnahme ist klasse! 🐛
