Garden Escapees and Other Foreigners
I usually focus on the native flora, but there are plenty of flowers here in The Netherlands that have been imported for gardens and parks and have spread from there. Here are a few of them I saw yesterday:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO160, f8, 1/160s
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO160, f8, 1/160s
Olympus Stylus 1s, 220mm, ISO160, f3.5, 1/400s
Olympus Stylus 1s,42mm, ISO100, f4, 1/250s
Olympus Stylus 1s, 220mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/400s
I'm not much of a gardener, and I don't know what all these flowers are called. Still, feel free to ask me if you haven't read this; I still won't know.
Thanks for watching!

Beautiful pics, @ocrdu! Have a beautiful SUNday :)
I think the first pict is best. Btw.. what name of that flower ?
There's always one 8-). I don't know, sorry.
Beautiful photograph i loved it. Thanks for sharing.
Is there much of an environmental impact from weeds in your area?
What are they called :-/ :-)
We have a few invasive species that are a problem, like ragweed, floating pennywort, Japanese knotweed, policeman's helmet, and some others, but overall, it's not too bad here.
Your lucky!
We have entire shelves in libraries dedicated to invasive species identification and control. Some are very nasty! Mostly brought over from England as ornamental plants when they invaded Australia and took over....
I love the little species tulips in the first photo. I have them in my gardens too and they are just so adorable.
So they are tulips. I wasn't sure 8-).
Yes they are tulips. I used to sell them when I had my nursery. People loved them, there is also a little taller variety that is pink and white as well.
nice photogray
