Fresh fungi
It seems the mushrooms took advantage of the spell of mild weather we are having in The Netherlands, I saw quite a few yesterday.
This is a yellow brain aka golden jelly fungus (Tremella mesenterica) sitting high in a tree. I climbed the next tree along to get this shot:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/200s
I don't know what this one is called, I don't think I've seen one before with this colour:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO400, f5.6, 1/80s
These could also be insect or spider eggs, I'm not sure these are fungi. The little red balls are about 1mm in diameter:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO800, f4, 1/80s
These popped up in the last few days, I don't know their name:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO800, f4, 1/160s
If the weather stays like this, I expect to see more.
Looks very Fresh indeed

wow yes're beautiful
Thanks.
To me, those little red ones look like slime mold - maybe Trichia decipiens. So you would be right that they are not fungus -- they are their own kingdom, not plant, not animal, not fungus. Wet weather brings out all the odd creatures, lol! Happy fungus hunting -- and other life forms, too! :D
Thanks, could wel be a slime mould, I'll go back and have an even closer look. Maybe they moved 8-).
Don't stand still too long, lol! Slime molds are known for moving pretty good to find what they want!
I have measured slime mold movement in the past, I may be able to outrun it 8-).
Just don't let them distract you into standing still too long! :O
@ocrdu wowzas!
the red ones are golden apple snails eggs :)
Looks like it, but we don't have those snails here. Maybe one escaped from an aquarium ...
Great post! The macrofungus always blows my mind!
I also have a nice collection of mushrooms from Portugal that I hope to share soon.
Cheers!
Nice! I look forward to it.
