Damselflies: Azure Blue Part Two
This damselfly is hard to distinguish from the species I posted about yesterday, but it is different.
Really, it is.
It is called common blue damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerum), watersnuffel in Dutch:
Olympus XZ-1, 28mm, ISO250, f5.6, 1/100s
The female has a different colour:
Olympus XZ-1, 28mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/800s
A third species in the same colour is the blue-tailed damselfly (Ischnura elegans), lantaarntje in Dutch:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/320s
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/200s
Olympus XZ-1, 112mm, ISO100, f5.6, 1/125s
Olympus XZ-1, 28mm, ISO200, f8, 1/200s
The female of this species:
Olympus XZ-1, 28mm, ISO100, f5.6, 1/60s
Olympus Stylus 1s, 200mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/200s
I hope to see them all again this summer and get some better shots.
Thanks for watching!
