Bits of Forest Floor in Bloom
Taking a few steps back from macro: some patches of forest-dwelling flowers I saw the other day, and a close-up.
The first two I only don't know under their Latin species name Nescio florem:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 120mm, ISO400, f8, 1/160s
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO800, f8, 1/100s
These are wood anemones, still going strong:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 180mm, ISO160, f8, 1/400s
On the edge of the forest, in an open field, I found these called cuckooflower (Cardamine pratensis), pinksterbloem in Dutch:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 265mm, ISO100, f2.8, 1/1600s
These attract a butterfly called orange tip, so I will be keeping an eye on them. For some photos of that butterfly, see this posting.
Thanks for watching!
That last one is particularly splendid
I wish people with mowers would feel the same way. Oh well.
Ahhh Spring flowers.
