A very un-camouflaged bug

in #photography7 years ago

This is an Italian Striped-Bug (Graphosoma lineatum) aka Minstrel Bug, about 1cm (0,4") long, but not all that hard to spot:

Olympus XZ-1, 28mm, ISO400, f5.6, 1/80s

Their having sex seems to be a bit awkward, but then again, I know little of their customs:

Olympus XZ-1, 112mm, ISO100, f8, 1/250s

Thanks for watching!

What bug? I don't see it.

That does cast some doubt on your pattern recognition skills, if I may be so bold.

I'm not good at recognizing. Especially not rihgt now. :)

I'm live

Very nice photos, I often watch them in my backyard, here in Italy we call them "Cimice menestrello" ^_^

Sounds much better in Italian! We Dutch call them (translated) pyjama bugs 8-).

@ocrdu , this bug has the same colors of an our football team (Milan), maybe he has more italian "fans" :D
