Yes, the damselflies are about and at it again, as some people's vernacular has it.
This species is called azure damselfly (Coenagrion puella), azuurwaterjuffer in Dutch, but I like to call them the ones with the cool sunglasses:

Blue and green Dragonfly.. good photography @ocrdu..
but I want too!!!! :(
You'll just hurt yourself.
WoW.............
your photo shot is simply amazing.post resteemed dear @ocrdu.
With a little imagination you could say they are forming a heart, in the first picture. The color is beautiful.
Do they actually live in the Netherlands? I have seen dragonflies before, but this color is almost unnatural.
If you are Dutch speaking person, check out #alldutch and @alldutch.
Thanks for sharing this image. It makes me want to grab my camera and go outside.
They are plentiful in The Netherlands, and there are some more species with the same colour as well.
Thanks for your reply. I should have looked more closely. You are right, they turn out to be very common especially this time of year. Have to go to the beach, or other sandy area, to spot a few.
Somehow when I see colorful animals, I picture them in regions warmer than Western Europe :)
I often feel the same. Still, there are quite a few exotic-looking species here, colour- and size-wise.
wow, you are right. I hope people will look at the larger image as well.
The many beautiful images in the macrophotography section of Steemit make me want to try this out myself. Not expecting anything big right away but who knows. Looking at other people's images is very inspiring.
