Colotis Fausta Fausta 🦋
Commonly known as the Large salmon Arab is a small butterfly of the Pieridae family, that is, the yellows and whites, which is found all around Israel.
This butterfly is seen near the Capparis bushes and its activity period is usually from summer to late autumn.
But there are years that are surprising: his activity begins earlier and he appears as early as March.
This is unusual for this summer butterfly and seldom happens.
The main causes of these conditions are probably the weather conditions and the level of precipitation.
This one was found in a field near the Kishon stream, and I think it's a female but it wouldn't spread its' wings when it finally landed so I couldn't see the pattern on its wings clearly.
