NSPART - One of my Wall Art Pieces "Legs & Heels" #1
This is one of my Fine Art Wall Art Pieces available for Sale as a Limited Edition Gallery Quality Print.
About The Piece: After a rude comment by someone with a limited perspective I feel I should (but should not have to) explain this Piece. In this piece I'm focusing on the most sensual and striking features of this image. Her legs and feet. In Art composition is a major element and many times you will see images cropped in a way or shadows or hair used to hide the face.
This is because many Art buyers are women, and very often women love the beauty of the female form and the sensuality of it. But they don't want another woman's face on their wall that their husband, boyfriend or other males will connect with. So they buy pieces with the woman's face cropped out or obscured.
To say I am reducing a woman to a certain body part is absurd and a very narrow minded perspective that clearly is not involved with the art world. Many people love this piece I had one woman want to buy it as soon as she saw it.
What I AM doing is focusing on the sensuality of the model while removing the threat of another women being on the wall. There is also a large audience of people that love "Legs & Feet" so this is also targeted to that audience. And art is sometimes weird or out of the ordinary so there is that also...lol :)

This is SFW by the all normal standards this could be even hung on a wall. There is no explicit nudity. I tag my work NSFW when there is nudity. She could be wearing a thong and it would be the same.
Then they can mute me and they never have to see my work again. And I have old ladies tell me they love my work. If @ned or @Dan want to set some guidelines I'll be happy to follow but this is on IG and and other networks with no problem. if she had a thong bikini it would show just as much.
Critiques are pointless everyone has an opinion. Some will like it and some won't . I'm not here to please everyone... Only attract the people that resonate with what I do and create.
Who are you to tell me that "Piece is no good" When many people have told me the love it (some professional photographers) some even wanting to buy it. Art is subjective and the only critique that matters to me is from a client or a mentor who work and judgement I respect.

And I also know that in the Art world there are body part shots many times. It's Art, and many women actually prefer not to see another females face on their wall very often because they don't want the men in their lives connecting emotionally to the face of another women. But they love the sensuality and female form. You clearly don't know or understand that and it was a woman that wanted to buy it from me and loved it at first sight but she could not afford it.

a 10 second video is much easier than all that rant typing, steemit is decentralized, you can't block me from seeing your posts and I choose not to block you because I enjoy your posts. You talk about IG and facebook allot, but those places are nowhere close to what steemit is. This is a new world, you left planet earth and landed here, it will take some time, but you will adapt, I am patient. 10 seconds video is all it takes to go to next level, I will throw in 100 steem for your effort.

Artist are not looking for everyone's opinion only the slice of the viewers that resonate with their work. The old adage "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" needs to come back in style when dealing with creative people's work.

Lol. Thanks. It is an awesome picture though. The composition is perfect. It is tasteful and I could easily see this on show in a gallery or equally on a tastefully decorated wall. Also monochrome just does a lot more for me when it comes to photography.
I agree with all you said it's one of my personal favorites. And while my previous comment was kind of tongue in cheek and self-serving, it was also correct I believe as the people that tend to like this style and appreciate are more cultured and generally have an appreciation for Art.
Of course lol! Also some people like some things and don't like others. I don't like the work of Picasso for example but I like other more obscure and abstract stuff. It is so subjective.
That very true and why I never offer unsolicited critiques on others work. Who am I to say their work is not good. When if enough people saw it they might actually make living from doing it exactly they way they do it.
Terry Richardson is a prime example he is attacked all of the time, some people loath him and his work. Yet he makes $120K a day when shoot for companies I read.
