📸 - A shooting star through the milky way - Original work.

While looking through my catalog of astrophotography shots, I came across this unfninished photo and noticed I had captured a shooting star! I had no clue this shoot had any, so it was a cool surprise when I was processing it.

Anyways, one night at 2am I couldn't sleep and decided to go outside to see the stars, since I was out in the countryside with low light pollution. I could see the milky way with my naked eye, so I found a pine tree and aimed my camera at the milky way above it. I tried to use night sky software to figure out what that large/bright object is in the middle left side, its either a planet such as Venus, or possibly a galaxy, as there were no bright stars I could name.

Lens: 17-40mm f/4L @ 17mm
Shutter Speed: 38 seconds
Aperture: f/4
ISO: 1000

Thanks! :) Yeah its hard to get good looking photos from digital cameras not meant for astrophotography. My 5dmkII is great for landscape photography, not so good at low light, but I'm glad it can get things like this :)
