Tasmania (Australia) Landscape - 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #8
This beautiful view was taken in North-west Tasmania. Tasmania is the island state below the Australian mainland. Many tourists miss out on it's beautiful scenery due to the added cost of getting across the Bass Strait. The range of hills in the distance is the Rocky Cape National Park. The fields of flowers in the foreground are Pyrethrum daisies, which are grown for the production of organic pesticides. The photo was taken from the lookout on Tollymore Road (see link below).
