Below is a selection of fungi shots taken at a local reserve. Unfortunately I have not been able to put a name to them as yet. Of course we don't need a name to enjoy their beauty.
This next one is tiny. The cap is no more than 10mm across.

Great post- Mushrooms are beautiful and enticing as well as spooky and disturbing. Must be some kind of primal explorer's instincts coupled with a fear of disturbing death. Hmm - top two look good :/

Speeking of spooky fungi, we have one here called the Ghoul fungus that only grows next to dead animals.
