The Aftermath

Once was considered the best of Cebu, now decimated to rubble and ash. Metro Ayala has become a ghost town.

Last Friday night, a fire alarm went off. Metro Ayala was on fire. A fire that started in the 3rd floor (toys department) that engulfed the whole building. The fire fighters had a difficult time containing the flames as the fumes were too much for them to go inside. The fire took place for days. The only consolation we can get from this tragedy is that there were no casualties.

Four days later, it was announced that the fire was ceased. The once glorious shopping mall has now become a ruin.
