HIKING - PART 1 (1).png

Hey guys. I already posted a hiking story but I went for a hike today and I just have to share it with you. Me and @urskaskamen decided that the clear weather was the perfect opportunity to take a short little hike at a picturesce valley about an hour away from where I grew up as a child. We visited this valley a bunch of time in the summer but never in the winter.

Because it is only an hour away and the hike was supposed to last only an hour we decided we would wake up normally, eat our breakfast and then go when we are ready. We started our hike at a hotel that is fully booked during the summer months when a lot of hikers come to this valley, because it offers a lot of starting points for sorrounding mountains. So we started our hike at 9.30 am.

Normally our hike would follow a narrow path that winds through the forest to a waterfall at the end, but unfortunatelly about a week ago a huge wind and snow storm hit the area and blew down almost the whole forest, which ment the path was not full of fallen trees. We decided we would follow a road that was cleared and which ends near the waterfall that is our end point.

The hike itself was pretty uneventful because it followed the road all the way to the waterfall named Rinka, but it offered some very beautiful sights of the nearby mountains.

We also crossed the river Savinja which was completely frozen and that starts with the Rinka waterfall.

At the end of our hike a beautiful sight of the one of the heighest waterfall in Slovenia awaited us. The force of Nature that carved the gauge into the hard rocks is just impressive.

I hope you get the opportunity to visit the Logging valley. It is trully a spectacular place.
