The Port of Los Gigantes, Tenerife - My Entry For The Seaphotography Contest - Week #50
Los Gigantes are the famous rock formations just above the harbor, here seen in the background. Once on the beach just outside the walls, one can really feel the scale. They rise abruptly and wall the whole bay in. It's already on the sheltered south-eastern side of the island where water is calm and warm in comparison to that of the western shores.
A destination we would go for a couple of times, even though the road leading there seemed tough to me. I liked the morning till early afternoon visit much better, the light fell sideways and the rocks were more pronounced if that's a phrase in English ;) And they faded away in the distance with a magical visual effect. There will be more soon, from the beach itself.
Enjoy the harbor and the boats now!
